You
need a Flexible Curve (available at office or artist supply stores) or
a coat hanger wire. Make sure that it holds its shape when you take it
off your horse. |
|
|
| * |
Have
a person stand on either side of your horse and place the Flexible Curve
or wire about two inches behind the horse's shoulders (where the saddle's
tree points would be). |
|
|
| * |
Press
the curve or wire firmly against the horse's contours, at least 8"- 9"
down from the withers on each side. Then lift it straight up and off the
horse's back. |

Very
carefully and without disturbing the shape, trace it onto a piece of cardboard
or sturdy paper, tracing along the INSIDE. To assure accuracy, repeat the
entire procedure and compare the two. If there is a discrepancy, repeat
the tracing one more time. |

On
the cardboard or paper mark the left (L) and right (R) sides as they correspond
to your horse and cut out the tracing. Marking the sides is very
important in case your horse is not quite symmetrical. Bring the tracing
to your local Courbette dealer and have them mail or fax it to us for evaluation. |
